Dns clients not updating records isochron dating
Hello, my office has a Windows 2003 server network set up using both DHCP and DNS on the DC.

I can do a reverse lookup on the IP and that works but not name to IP.
Both our equipment and the network printers use FQDN option 81 and requests the DHCP server to update the DNS and support for this option is also enabled in the DHCP server.
Why are only the XP machines added and not the rest ?
I cannot find a way to get Mac clients to also do this, and without it there is no way, short of manual entry, to access the clients by name. Thanks, Tim Hi Tim, here are some seemingly random thoughts.
(Watch for a post from Peebles who knows his stuff inside and out) 1) Look at configuring SMB/CIFS in Directory Access on the mac.
